Barli

This book is about a little girl named ( Barli), who is the hero in this story. She sold different kinds of balloons in different shapes and colours. She lived in a tiny house under a bridge. The bridge connected two cities together. Each city had a king and both of them were foolish.
One day they fought against each other just because of a blue balloon. Then…
This book was written by Navid Aliakbar in 2018 and published by Elmi-Farhangi publishing house. The art director was MS. Maryam Kmal.
In this book, I mixed both traditional and digital techniques.

Life isn’t about waiting for the storm to pass…

In 2016, I was asked by the editor in chief of Womankind magazine to do an illustration based on a poet by Vivian Greene { Life isn’t about waiting for the poem to pass… It’s about learning to dance in the rain.}

To do this, I draw based on a photo of myself and imagined myself while faced difficulties and tried to pass them. In this project, I mixed traditional and digital techniques.

Living Objects

I believe we are partly described by things around us. There are many vases in the world, but we select one which links to our memories, emotions and sometimes views to the world. Objects are alive and breathe. They can talk about us. They are connected with our past, present and future.

In this collection, I want to show some of my important objects at my home. They are simple but so important for me. They are part of me.
